Virginia Mangin's Obituary
Virginia G. Mangin, aka, “the Cookie Lady”, passed away on September 16, 2010. She was born February 19, 1922 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She came to Fort Myers in 1980 from Farmington, Michigan and was a member of Church of the Resurrection. She had a love for gardening and a passion for baking and bringing friends and family together at her table. There will be a visitation on Sunday 1:00 to 4:00pm and Monday 10:00 to 11:00am at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11:00 am on Monday with burial to follow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D, Mangin; and sons, C. Fred, Ralph, Richard and Bill Mangin. She is survived by children, Mary Lou (Fred) Almond of Wixom, Michigan, Mike (Becky) Mangin of Baton Rouge, LA; Betty (Mark) Craig of Farmington, Michigan; and Karen (Peter) Zuck of Fort Myers, Florida; daughter-in-laws, Kathy Mangin of Noblesville, Indiana, Judy Mangin of Miramar, Florida amd Melanie Mangin of White Lake, Michigan; 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
