Virginia "Ginger" Washburn Dornburg's Obituary
Virginia “Ginger” Washburn Dornburg, 80, of Fort Myers, FL died August 30, 2015 at Healthpark Hospital in Fort Myers. Memorial Services for Ginger will be held at a later date at the Villages of Shell Point in the chapel. Ginger was born July 24, 1935 in Plymouth, MA, the daughter of George Arthur and Madeline (Hayward) Washburn. She was a stewardess for American Airlines for five years. She married F. Robert Dornburg in Duxbury, MA on June 25, 1960. She was a member of Sanibel Congregational Church. She enjoyed participating with the community of Shell Point and volunteered as a Greeter for the Commons area, and the Train Room of Shell Point. She also enjoyed line dancing. She was member of Kiwi – an association of retired flight attendants. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Robert; children, Robert Dornburg of Whitehaven, PA, Jane Huskison and her husband Mark of Newnan, GA and one grandchild, Mary Huskison of Newnan, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Araba Shrine Temple, 2010 Hanson Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
