Vivian Mary Himschoot's Obituary
Vivian Himschoot of Ft. Myers, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.?á She was born in Hartwick, Iowa on November 17, 1925 to Ferdinand and Gertrude Roth.?á The family moved from Brooklyn, Iowa to Fort Myers in 1959. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á Vivian attended school in Hartwick, Iowa and was proud that she was awarded first place for being the most humorous in a declamatory contest during her high school years.?á Throughout her life, she kept that trait and continued to make her family and friends laugh.?á She was a devoted wife and mother.?á She was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á Vivian is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Himschoot, the love of her life for 54 years.?á Also preceding her in death is her son, Richard; brothers, Edward and Wallace Roth and sister, Elmira Bevins of Iowa.?á She is survived by 2 daughters, Karen Giles (James) and Kristine Reffit and 2 sons, Michael and Kevin.?á Vivian is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild; sisters, Kay Ostrom, Maggie Roberts (Cecil), Shirley Blomme and brother, Dee Roth (Donna), along with numerous nieces and nephews. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Columbkille Catholic Church located at 12173 Iona Rd., Ft. Myers on Saturday, May 5 at 10:00 AM, with Father Joe Clifford officiating with entombment to follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at St. Columbkille on Friday from 6 ?Çô 8 PM.?á ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á A reception will be held at Laurel Oaks Community Center located at the entrance on Briarcliff Rd., Ft.
