I was telling my kids how my dad use to take us to walters house in lindenhurst. My dad bob habacker knew walter from brooklyn union gas co. I decided to look up walter today 10/27/15 , and sad to know he is gone, but in good hands. thanks rich habacker

We are so truly sad to hear about Walter. We have lost a friend. The time that we had with him was so short. We enjoyed the many times that we had talking with him, while walking Daisy. All the deer, especially his Bambi, still go down to "Walter's Bar" to look for him. He was our inspiration in hand-feeding his Bambi, which we still do to this day. We enjoyed our lunches and dinners with Terry, Walter, Johanna and Jack. He loved all of them so much and was so proud of them all. We will be at the memorial in spirit. We think of Terry and everyone every day and look forward to seeing you again soon.Love — Therese and Jim
Terry, We remember Walter and you very fondly. You started our first trip to Cross Creek in 1987 when we rented your unit in building one. WE really enjoyed the times we spent in Cross Creek and am sorry we can not return because of Betty's problem.
