Wilfredo Rivera Rosado's Obituary
Wilfredo Rivera Rosado, 74, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on December 31, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Born on May 3, 1950, in Lares, Puerto Rico, Wilfredo was the son of the late Adolfo Rivera and Mercedes Rosado.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Wilfredo served honorably during the Vietnam War. He went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career at Ford Motor Company, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. Wilfredo was a man of many hobbies and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed photography, musical instruments, and most recently A/C and Heating repair. Always willing to help someone in need.
Wilfredo was a faithful member of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal, M.I. Ebenezer, where he served as Treasurer with passion and commitment. He was a man of deep faith, and his community was important to him. Those who knew him well also knew his love for cooking, often finding him in the kitchen, preparing meals with a generosity that mirrored his loving spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo and Mercedes.
Wilfredo leaves behind his beloved wife, Minerva Salas, his daughter Connie, and son-in-law Gustavo Gonzalez. He was a proud grandfather to his two grandsons, Joshua Gonzalez (Yanillys) and Nicholas Gonzalez (Alani) and a cherished great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren, Adriel, Yandriel and Ariella. Wilfredo also leaves behind the children by marriage that he embraced as his own. Ramon Salas, Jr. (Veronica), Giovani Salas and Jacob Salas (Jadisha) and his dear grandchildren, Emilia, Ramon III, and Araceli, who held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by his siblings: Iliana Rivera of Lares, Puerto Rico, Hermes Rivera (Milagros) of Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, Gladys Rivera (Hector Cordero) of Isabela, Puerto Rico Adolfo Rivera of Chicago, Illinois, along with many, many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
Wilfredo's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of his final arrangements. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, January 8, 2024, from 6PM-8PM with a service beginning at 7PM At Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal 151 NE PINE ISLAND RD CAPE CORAL FL 33909. Wilfredo's burial is scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2024 At Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Noon.
