William "Bill" S. Robertson's Obituary
William S Robertson, Fort Myers, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. William blessed the world with his long life of 105 years old that began at 12:01am January 1, 1917, to William and Jenny Robertson in Rochester, New York.
Bill has called Florida his home for 43 years & he lived quite a dynamic life! He lived through the great depression and it shaped his personality, he saw the transition from horse&buggy to the exploration of Mars and the arrival of electric cars. Bill made many deep friendships, many referred to him as Boss, which he loved. He enjoyed cruising and he loved to ‘cut a rug’ when younger he played many sports however golf was his favorite, which he played into his 90’s!
When people would ask where he got his longevity genes he would say: “I got my jeans from Wallmart!”
Another secret was peanut butter & strawberry jelly sandwiches and in his younger years he was often seen sipping on a Manhattan.
Bill is preceded in passing by his parents William, Jenny, and his sisters, his wives; Fern , Norma and his daughter Gayle.
Bill leaves his loving memory with his survivors; daughter Barbara, 6 grand children and 9 great grand children.
Bill's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with his final arrangements. At his request, there are no services.
