William Howard Boyd, 91, of Fort Myers, FL, died November 7, 2016 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 11, 2016 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services. Entombment will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Field of Honor. Memorials: Donor’s Choice. William was born June 12, 1925 in Donora, PA, the son of Wade Hampton and Cornelia H. (Taylor) Boyd. He married Rosanne Brant during 1948 in Akron, OH. William was a veteran of the US NAVY. Following his military he dedicated many years to serving in the Dairy Industry, retiring as a purchasing manager from Sara Lee. William was a member of the Masonic Lodge 735, American Legion, and VFW. He enjoyed golf and spending time with family. Surviving are his wife Rosanne; children, Bonnie McQuown and her husband, David of Mansfield, OH, Roland W. Boyd and his wife Catherine of Fort Myers, FL; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens has been entrusted with the care of William.
