William Edwin Brooks' Obituary
William Edwin Brooks, 79, passed away August 5, 2013. He was born October 31, 1933 in Braintree, Massachusetts to the late Edwin and Alice (Woodworth) Brooks. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife Catherine and nephew Adoma Brooks.He was born and raised in Minnesota and has wintered in Lee County for the past 13 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Legion. William served our country in the US Navy during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed sailing and world traveling.Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tom Brooks and his wife Debbie of Minnesota; Victoria Brooks of Indiana; Jim Brooks of Minnesota; Bill Brooks of Minnesota; Dana Brooks of Minnesota; Jack Brooks of Minnesota; Scott Brooks and his wife Dorothy of Brooksville, Florida and Glen Brooks and his wife Donna of North Carolina; sister, Joyce Noyce and her husband George of Massachusetts; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.There will be a Celebration of Life service in Minnesota at a later date.
