Lavanda, Lynn, Alan and Aunt Hellen, We "LOVE YA'LL VERY MUCH" and were praying that GOD will give you comfort and peace. My sincere sympathy to my extended family. I'm also honored to be a part of the Cody family for about 50 years as Lavanda's "bestest" friend. And oh, boy, I'm with you all on those "Wild Bill" boat rides after church (and Helen's nap). He would go so fast you couldn't see and tears shooting out the sides of your eyes! One of the best parts of growing up was being on the river w/the Cody's. I'm sure Wild Bill is treating everyone to a boat ride in the clouds and they are loving it. The last couple of years, Bill would always say "please Lord, don't come get me on a Tuesday, Helen is bowling." The good Lord kept his promise.

Wild Bill Cody took me for a ride in his boat on the river……. I was so scared, that when we got close enough to Lavanda's boat, I jumped out. I felt safer in the water. Whhhhoooo hoooo never forget it….

I am grateful I got to be a part of your life and your family for 27 years. I remember the first time I met you, you and Helen welcomed me into your home with open arms, we played video games, you were hard to beat. First time you took me for a ride on your skii boat, fastest boat on the river and fastest boat I had ever been on, scared me to no end, but you told me to trust you. After that, I always thought twice about riding with you. You loved the excitement of speed. I enjoyed the trips we all made to Daytona on the bikes. Your boat house was immaculant and every tool had it's place. It was spotless. You took a lot of pride in your boat, cars, motorcycles but mostly in your family. I always thought you were one of best water skiier's I had ever met, you even helped teach me how to skii. You were a wonderful Grandfather (PaPa) to my daughters, Alexis and Shelby and I thank you for that. They thank the world of you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, you will be missed.
