William James Crosley's Obituary
William James Crosley, 88, of Cape Coral, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019. He was born June 23, 1931 in Louisville, AL to Abraham and Eva (Chambers) Crosley. He moved from Kansas City, MO to Cape Coral in 2009. He retired from the United States Army in 1975, serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars where he was a Purple Heart recipient. Following his retirement from the Army, he worked for the United States Postal service and retired again in 1997.Bill is survived by his step-children: Mike Kelly (Laura) of Kansas City, MO and Helen Tapp (Larry) of Barataria, LA; his sister, Doris Herrin of Jamaica, NY; his brothers: Aaron Crossley and Riven Thomas Crossley, both of Louisville, AL. Also surviving are a host of step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann in 2014.Bill will be laid to rest in Gypsum Hill Cemetery in Salina, KS.Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
