William Lee Holderfield's Obituary
William Lee Holderfield of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on January 22, 2026 at the age of 93 with both of his daughters by his side. William “Bill” Holderfield will be remembered by all he met as a kindhearted and caring man who never met a stranger. His greatest joys in life were his family. He was a girl dad and a girl grandfather through and through with having two daughters and four granddaughters. His best memories were shared in spending time with all of his girls whom he taught to fish and navigate life. Bill enjoyed football weekends watching his favorite teams (Auburn and Tampa Bay Buccaneers), coaching, baseball, tending to his garden and orange grove, watching the birds and squirrels run around the yard, and living his best life.
Bill has now joined his beloved wife Frances Holderfield in their forever kingdom with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his two daughters Linda Jones and Kathy Mason, and will be forever missed by his four granddaughters Sabrina Morris (Jason Morris), Jessica Rose (Jimmy Rose), Amanda Smith (Douglas Smith, and Krystina Alderman (Jason Alderman), 9 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Also, he leaves behind two sisters Betty Smith and Rose Short (J.D. Short), and one niece Deborah Lannen.
Bill and Frances ashes will be laid to rest together with a Celebration of Life for them both being announced later this year.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations in Bill and Frances name be sent to the Dementia Society of America.
