William Earl Johnson (1946-2024)
William “Bill” Earl Johnson, 77, of Westmont, IL, died in Fort Myers, FL on April 28, 2024.
Bill was born in Oak Park, IL on September 12, 1946, to Albert and Alice Johnson. Bill grew up in Bellwood and attended Proviso East High School in Maywood. Bill later moved to Elmhurst and obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology from Elmhurst College. Throughout his professional career, Bill worked primarily in the real estate and mortgage industries. Next to spending time with family, Bill’s passion in life was always in nature as he spent many years volunteering to restore native prairie habitat at Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oakbrook.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Alice Johnson, his three brothers Warren, Norman, and Marvin Johnson, and is survived by his sister Pamela Hindman, former wife Lorraine, his two sons Shane and William “Billy” Johnson, and two grandsons Tyler and Colin Johnson.
A ceremonial dinner will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Papa Passero’s: 6326 S. Cass Ave., Westmont, IL.
