William Andrew Nagy's Obituary
William Andrew Nagy, 89, of Fort Myers, passed away March 27, 2017 following an extended illness. He was born September 2, 1927 in Elrama, PA, the son of John E. and Alice (Cratty) Nagy. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War. In 1989, he retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after 25 years of service. He also spent 29 years working for the Pennsylvania and Union Railroads. He was also a member of Cypress Lake United Methodist Church. Mr. Nagy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kitty; his children: William J. Nagy (fianc??, Sara Smith) of High Point, NC and Pat Thomas (Greg) of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister, Shirley Scagline and his grandchildren: Danny, Josh, Jake and Nikki. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Cypress Lake United Methodist Church, 8570 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers with Rev. Thom Shafer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of Lee County, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or www.hopehospice.org.
