My sister, sister-in-law and I were just reminiscing about my parents' friends in Miami since they were all doctors (my dad was an orthopaedic surgeon) and when we were growing up everyone in the Miami medical community knew each other. Dr. Pacetti was our pediatrician for all five of us kids for our entire childhood, and what a wonderful man he was. I am like Kathleen Archino, who said below that she didn't look up his name because she feared she would be faced with the reality that he had passed away. I feel exactly the same. I have tears falling down my cheeks now at the thought. I know this entry comes years after the others, but I hope his family reads it and knows that Dr. Pacetti will always be cherished and missed, no matter how old we - "his kids" - get (I am 67 now).

How do I possibly sum up what this wonderful man meant to my family? He was my pediatrician from the day I was born, in 1958, recognized a rare heart condition in my sister at her birth, and diagnosed my brother's milk allergy. He was always there for my family. When I married, I became a step-mom to two great kids,,, so of course, Dr. Pacetti became their doctor when they were with us. When my children were born in 1987 and in 1991, Dr. Pacetti was their pediatrician, as well.
He NEVER left us hanging. If he was booked solid, he would stay later or call us and ask all the right questions. If a prescription was warranted, he took care of it, and because of all of his experience, he would tell you exactly what to look for to ensure your child was on the mend and what would "show" if he wasn't. If my husband or I was ill, he'd take care of us, too.
The world owes Dr. Pacetti so very much, I know we do. Thank you Dr. Pacetti, we think about you and tell stories about our interactions with you often. I purposely didn't look up your name because I was fearful that I would be faced with this reality.
Too bad the world doesn't have more Dr. Pacettis.

You were such a great doctor and a beautiful person, so smart and talented, yet so humble. You told me such interesting stories, and I loved working for you. Many patients still ask me if I know what happened to you. I just looked you up and discovered that you had passed away last year. Rest in Peace Dr.

Grandpa Bill, I miss you terribly. I am thankful that my family and I were a part of your last weeks here on Earth and that we were able to make you feel loved, appreciated, and respected. The only reason I am at ease with your passing, is knowing you are with the love of your life, my grandmother, Aileen Pacetti. You will be missed greatly and loved unconditionally. RIP grandpa.

William Pacetti was widowed from his wife my mother of 40 yrs Ailene Pacetti and was also survived by Corinne,Parker and Patrick Mccabe which was not mentioned on the website.He will forever be remembered and always in our hearts.
