William Peter Sorensen's Obituary
William “Billy” Peter Sorensen, 66, passed away April 9th, 2014. He was born January 23, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York to the late William Frederick and Elsa Lillian (Jensen) Sorensen.William came to Lee County 15 years ago from New York City. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Fort Myers. He loved to go on cruises, read and follow the band Adbacadabra. William was the Operations Officer for Independence Bank in Los Angeles from 1983 to 1986. He was then Manager with JJ Taylor and later the Director of Payroll for Entertainment Partners in Burbank, California and New York City.Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Eve Yawn and her husband Clayton of Cape Coral, Florida and Elaine DiGiacomo and her husband Andrew of Croton-on-Hudson, New York; nieces, Kimberly Seward, Lynn Mareth, Amber DiGiacomo and Amanda DiGiacomo; and great nephews, Christian and Anthony Ruggerio.There will be a memorial service on Thursday, April 17th at 3:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the First Assembly of God Church, Summerlin Road, Fort Myers, Florida 33919.
