William J. Thompson, Sr.'s Obituary
William J. Thompson, Sr., 83, of Fort Myers, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018. He was born February 25, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA to George W. and Mildred (Bond) Thompson. Bill served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army and was an active member of the Fort Myers Beach Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Esther J. Thompson and 5 children Gary(Cody) Thompson, Craig Thompson, Judy(Jeff) Cimoch, Dina(John) Wysseier and William(Raquel) Thompson Jr. He was a proud Grandfather of 13 and Great Grandfather to 6. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Slifko.A memorial service will be held on June 30th at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
