William Joe Zimmerman's Obituary
William Joe Zimmerman, 89, of Cape Coral, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016. He was born July 23, 1927 in Vincennes, IN and was a longtime resident of Lehigh Acres before moving to Cape Coral. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Zimmerman is survived by his wife of 25 years, Viola Zimmerman; his daughter, Jo Lynn Hansen (Robert) of Jupiter, FL, his step-daughter, Donna Bores (John) of Cape Coral and step-son, Joe W. Murphy (Jan) of Ohio, and his sister, Judith Tryon of Princeton, IN. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Mary Jo Zimmerman and his daughter, Suellen Horton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555, with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
