Willie Mae Boles' Obituary
Willie Mae Muskett Boles, 95, of Orlando, passed away January 7, 2013. She was born November 16, 1917 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late William Arden Muskett and Lula Mae (Yeagar) Muskett.She graduated with a BS in Education from State Teachers College, with honors in Florence, Alabama. She retired after a career as an elementary school teacher and had the following honors, accomplishments and awards; Emma Sansom High School Valedictorian 1936 in Gadsden, Alabama, taught elementary school for 29 years; Honored as Teacher of the Year in 1965; married 58 years. After retirement, she was an artist, in the Women?ÇÖs Club, Garden Club, and bridge games in Fort Myers, FL.Willie was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Ralph Carroll Boles who had been chairman on the Tennessee Tech Math Department, son, Ralph Carroll Boles, Jr. who was a nuclear engineer and daughter, Dr. Barbara Boles Pemberton who was a civilian in the US Army.Mrs. Boles resided in Lee County from 1984 to 2005 and was a Presbyterian.Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Mary Warren, Lou Davies and Betty Hawkins; granddaughters, Dana Lamas and family and Donna Boles; grandsons, Ralph Carroll Boles III, Roger Boles and family and Robin Berge friend. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907. The Reverend and Doctor of Theology Barbara J. Pemberton (daughter) will officiate.
