Willie J Tellis' Obituary
Willie J Tellis, 70, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away February 25,2013. He was born March 21, 1942 in Montgomery, Alabama and moved to Fort Myers as a young man with his family in the mid 1950?ÇÖs. Willie served in The United States Army and is a combat veteran of the Vietnam War having earned the Rank of Seargent, E-5. He was a member of the American Legion post # 192. He was also a proud member of the Masons. Willie during his life absolutely loved and lived for his children. He also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing dominoes, word puzzle searches and watching western films. He was very well known for wonderful and entertaining dancing. Willie was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Willie sadly leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Willie J Tellis, Jr. of Cape Coral, Florida, his daughters Sharetha Tellis of Fort Myers and Krystal Tellis (Eugene Major) of Fort Myers, Florida. He also leaves behind his brother, Sellie Betton of Quincy, Florida. His grand children, Ka?ÇÖShara Tellis, Ashani Watson, Clifton?ÇÖAysha Watson, Kor?ÇÖDaye Tellis, Te?ÇÖKara Lynom and Jarquil Major. Special mention of his long time friends Ardia Benjamin of Fort Myers, Florida and Rose Mary Anderson of Cape Coral, Florida. The family would like to express that all of Willies friends and relatives are in thought even if they are not mentioned. A memorial service will be held at The Apostolic Revival Center located at 2100 Barden Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33916 and will be officiated by Bishop George Jones. A date and time will be announced after the arrangement of cremation is completed. All arrangements are under the supervision of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907.
