Winifred Lee Munro's Obituary
Winifred Lee Jackson Munro of Labelle, FL born November 5, 1933, left Earth on July 31, 2021 to rejoin her loved ones in heaven who are joyously celebrating her return. She left Earth surrounded by her loving family and devoted dog, Suzie.
Those not allowed to join her yet are her three children, Cynthia and her husband Steve, Robert and his wife Mary Beth and John and his wife Christina; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren, including the newborn, Emerson; one brother, Robert Carter Jackson; sister-in-law, Linda Lopez; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucille Jackson and devoted husband, Robert Emerson Munro.
Winifred married her high school sweetheart, Robert and they raised a family in East Gary, Indiana. They moved to Cape Coral, FL in 1981 and then to Labelle, FL in 2019. Winnie was an avid student, graduating 3rd highest in her class and was always seeking to learn, especially the holy scriptures. Se shared her knowledge by teaching in Christian Schools where she earned her “Teacher of the Year” award. She was a founding member of New Hope Christian Church, teaching in the children’s ministry and a ladies bible study for many years. She was committed to community outreach and volunteered at Hope Hospice for 9 years. She loved her family deeply and treasured her dog, Suzi; but most of all she loved the Lord God with all of her heart, soul and mind.
Winnie’s absence on this Earth will be a forever void for those who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated 12 NOON, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in the Chapel of Light. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service time in the Chapel of Light. Entombment will follow out in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Myers, FL.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Christian Church and/or Hope Hospice in loving memory of Winifred Lee Jackson Munro.
