In 1966, she immigrated to the US where she worked as a CAN for many years preparing a home for her family in Brooklyn, NY. She took pride in being a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was known for her quiet strength, her gentle and calm demeanor, and laughter that was contagious.
She and her husband relocated to Lehigh Acres, Florida in 1988, where they planted roots that many of her grandchildren would come to know, love, and visit often.
A home she filled with pictures of her surviving six children, twenty-five grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
As one of ten children she is survived by her siblings Sylvia, Calvin, Wenton, and Ouida. She was predeceased by her brothers Ewart, Douglas, Paul, Peter, and her sister Hyacinth.
On May 28th, 2024 Winnifred went to sleep in death peacefully in Lehigh Acres, Florida. “We all will sorely miss her, and long for the day when we will see her again.”
Revelation 21: 3 & 4
“And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
