Winston S. Ward's Obituary
Winston S. Ward of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Cape Coral Hospital.Winston was born in Colon, Panama on Tuesday, November 28, 1944; the proud son of Pearl M. (Douglas) and the late Louis F. Ward. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and later worked in New York City before retiring to southwest Florida in 2007.Winston leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved children Monique A. Ward, Winston C. Ward (Kendra Ward), Joann K. Piedra (July Piedra), and Maria P. Gordon; grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren. Sadly, he was predeceased by his devoted wife of 38 years, Digna Ward, who passed away on July 11, 2017. Winston S. Ward will be dearly missed.Visitation will be 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2018 inside the chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Memorial Service for Winston will be celebrated during the visitation at the funeral home. This ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 PM.
