Yuba McLaughlin's Obituary
Yuba McLaughlin, 86, passed away February 5, 2014. She was born August 8, 1927 in Croatia to the late Joseph and Theresa (Bezich) Becica. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ivan and sister, Mary.She came to Lee County in 1996 from Lakeland, Florida. In 1984 she had moved there in central Florida to open Fashion Bug stores all over the state. One year she opened 25 stores.Yuba enjoyed walking, playing cards, reading, family gatherings, going to casinos and writing poetry. She was very family oriented and loved challenges and debating. She would do anything for her kids and grandkids. She encouraged them in their writing and poetry.Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jean Sprague of Cape Coral, Florida; son, John McLaughlin and his wife Diane of Wildwood, New Jersey; sister, Zorka Garbin of Blackwood, New Jersey; grandchildren, Heather, Jonathan and his wife Angie, Jason, Joshua and George and his wife Lori; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Addison, Tyler, Jalyne, Natalie, Colton and Courtney; and many many friends.There will be a visitation Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907.
