Yvonne Louise D'Ambrosio's Obituary
Yvonne Louise D’Ambrosio, 78, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 3, 1948, in Braddock, Pennsylvania, Yvonne was the cherished daughter of Joseph D’Ambrosio and Katharina Moelenkamp. At the age of five, she relocated with her family to Canton, Ohio, where she was raised and later graduated from McKinley High School.
Yvonne’s professional journey was marked by dedication, adaptability, and an eagerness to embrace new opportunities. She began her career in the airline industry working in the rental car services. Over the years, she held several roles in the banking and financial sectors, including positions as a proof operator for NationsBank, an employee at Cross Trucking Equipment Co., and a Statistical Data Supervisor with Society National Bank.
After moving to Florida in 1988, Yvonne continued her work in financial services, operating within financial banking through Data 2 Logistics. She was deeply committed to helping others and was known for her kindness, compassion, and willingness to assist families in meaningful ways. Worked for LARC, Inc. as an advocate to clients including assists with Diet, Medication, Transportation & other daily tasks. She taught a group American Sign Language at a local church.
Outside of her professional life, Yvonne embraced her many passions. She loved to travel and explore new places, always eager for new experiences. She was also among the early adopters of DOS operating systems, reflecting her curiosity and openness to emerging technologies. Creatively gifted, she enjoyed crafts such as macramé & crochet. Yvonne found joy in learning new skills and taking on creative challenges throughout her life.
Yvonne is survived by her sister Sharon & brother Dale of Florida, sister Angela Harps (Ron) of Ohio and their daughter Melissa Harps-Wise (Mel) & nephew Shane. She also leaves the innumerable friends and acquaintances she had made throughout her journeys in life.
