There is a “picture move” that I do not know the origin of... if I had to name it I’d call it the Tower-Erickson “point.” Our family has many, many examples!

This picture was taken on the day my new family (myself an my wife Sarah) celebrated Christmas early in 2019 with Grandma, Grandpa, and my mom Dodie. When Grandma and Grandpa left I asked them to take a picture, and we joked about doing the “Point.”

In the first picture, Grandma was reacting to the idea, and very happy to oblige! Then the following picture is the “point” in action!!

Long story short, Grandma... we will keep the “Point” going! Even if we add names to it, it might get lengthy... the “Tower Erickson Lytle Summerfield” “Point” could be a lot to say, but the fun won’t end, just like you’re attitude towards our family. Thank you for being the best Grandma EVER. We all love and miss you tremendously.

I have wonderful memories of Kay when I was younger. Great times at the lake. I remember Galen teaching me how to ski. She was always so kind. Sorry to hear of her passing. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.

My brother (Brandon), my sister (Carli) and I were able to spend the summers growing up in Pentwater Michigan with our grandparents. We were able to enjoy so many memories with grandma over the years. Some of which included playing cards, going to the pool or beach in Pentwater, doing arts and crafts, going to downtown Pentwater, and coming to visiting in Florida. My most recent memories with grandma was this past summer when grandma and grandpa came to visit me while I was on my internship in Roanoke, Virginia. When they came to visit we explored the blue ridge parkway, went to see the mill mountain star (Roanoke star), went to the downtown farmers market, went to a drive through zoo, and ate a home cooked meal at the Homeplace. She had a positive impact on so many people’s lives and will be missed by many. We love you grandma and the memories we have together will always be a part of our lives.

My Mom always wanted the best for her family, and cared about everything we were going through-if it was good or bad. She'd always be there to listen and offer advice. She loved us unconditionally like Mom's do. If I could have chosen any one for a Mom it would have been her-and I know I'm blessed because my Mom chose me. My Mom is my perfect mother and I love and appreciate her more than words could ever express.
I have so many memories of our times together. Growing up in Farwell with weekends at Silver Lake, the snowmobiling, baking (ok I liked to bake and Mom cleaned up after me), and we painted and decorated, ate wonderful meals, vacationed, and laughed and cried. I remember doing garage sales together, visiting family and friends, planning the holidays (especially Christmas-Mom loved Christmas), playing cards, doing puzzles and sometimes just talking and giving her the back rubs she loved.
When I gave birth to Adam, Mom and Dad were the first ones I called. Her love for all her grandchildren was enormous! There wasn't much she wouldn't do for any one of them, and if the kids were with her, we knew they were absolutely safe and having a great time!
I'll miss our weekend barbecues and the nightly phone calls on my way home from work. I'm even going to miss our card games, even though cards aren't my favorite-but she loved playing!
Life will go on, but I truly lost a piece of my heart when my Mom went to heaven. But I'll carry her with me in my heart for the rest of my life.

Kay, my "little sister" will always be remembered as the only one in the family who could do beautiful, legs-straight-up cart-wheels across the entire front yard; loved a good board game or even better, a game of cards; loved her grandchildren without stop; enjoyed a good roast-beef with dumplings meal; knew how to make us welcome for an extended Christmas-stay year after year when we were all living in Michigan and raising young children; could find a way to win at canasta even when it seemed that things were going for the other team; knew how to laugh mischievously as she talked about it; and so much more. While I know she is physically gone, I also know her fun, loving spirit will always be with us. I miss her, at the same time that I know she was tired of being sick and not able to do what she loved the most. While I know some will say, "Go in Peace", I say "Go Girl! Have fun, get the cards going, run, laugh, do those things you loved to do when you were young and able. Come visit us on occasion, let us feel your loving, fun-filled energy. I love you. Your big sis."
