Maynard always had a dry sense of humor. He was an honest city employee for many years. I belonged to Redeemer at the same time he was an active member. Because he was a member of the Masonic Lodge he arranged for Redeemer toworship there after they moved from their Broadway location. The lodge includedthe members in some of the social events they held there, such as the steak dinner.When he attended church he looked dignified. One July I was surprised to see himarrive at the Arcadia Rodeo in a cowboy hat. My prayers go out to his wife Alice, children and grandchildren. I'm so glad I met Alicein Publix last year and asked about how he was doing.Maynard will be greatly missed. Love,Nona Gronau
My husband and I knew Maynard and Alice when we lived in Fort Myers as they were close friends with our friends the Abernathys. They were always very nice and we enjoyed knowing them. We have been away from Fort Myers for many years now but I know Maynard has done a wonderful job with the city and that he will be missed by many of his old friends.Diane and Curtis Bostick
