Gary Richard Whiteaker

March 29, 1950 - April 8, 2022

Gary Richard Whiteaker of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Friday, April 8, 2022. He was 72 years old. Gary leaves to cherish his memory his cherished wife Debora (Yuhnke) Whiteaker; his beloved children Elizabeth Bily, her husband Michael Bily and their children Noah & Jacob; Daniel Whiteaker, his wife Joy Whiteaker and their children Dylan & Nathan; Dianna Sciolino, her husband Marc Scilolino and their daughter Mya Kimberly Hearn her husband David Hearn and their children Tyler, Blake & Brayden. He also leaves behind a large extended family and countless others who were proud to call him a friend. Gary will forever be fondly remembered and greatly missed. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service for Gary will be Officiated by Pastor Cary Robinson of McGregor Baptist Church at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Guests are welcome to gather for an hour preceding this service beginning at 12:00 PM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these ceremonies, Military Funeral Honors will be provided by an Honor Guard from the United States Navy in recognition of his years of service and retirement following a proud career.
