Margaret M. St. Aubin, 88, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1979, formerly of Boston, MA passed away peacefully with her loving sister Robina at her side on Monday, May 9, 2022. She was born in Boston, MA on September 21, 1933, to the late Andre and Margaret N. (Noble) St. Aubin. Margaret studied nursing at the Massachusetts Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing graduating in the class of 1954. While in nursing school she met many wonderful women who she kept in touch with over these many years. Margaret worked at the Haynes Memorial Hospital and the United States Public Health Hospital. Margaret maintained both her Massachusetts and Florida R.N. licenses for many years. Margaret continued her education and went on to receive her master's degree in Education. She taught in the Boston Public School system from 1966 to 1982. She taught at the Girls High School, Trade High School for Girls, and Occupational Resource Center. Always encouraging her students do their best and further their education. Margaret served her country proudly in the United States Army Reserves from 1955 to 1980, where she achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel. While in the Army Reserves Margaret worked as a Medical and Surgical Nurse as well as an Educational Coordinator. Margaret served as the Coordinator of Continuing Education Programs for Nurses/Allied Health at Edison Community College in Ft. Myers in the 1980’s. She took pride in bringing quality programs to the students that would enhance their knowledge. Margaret loved to travel especially by cruise ship. She enjoyed seeing new places and learning about the way of life at each destination. Margaret would always say, “Do you think you’ll ever go back?” after a voyage was completed. She was preceded in death by her dear brother, Frank St. Aubin. Margaret is survived by her loving sister, Robina St. Aubin of Fort Myers, FL; sister-in-law, Dorothy St. Aubin of Wilmington, MA; niece Lori Johnston (David) of Greentown PA; nephew Steven St. Aubin (Maureen) of Taunton, MA; niece Audrey Ziegenfus (John) of Binghamton, NY; nephew Mark St. Aubin (Linda) of Wilmington, MA; and thirty-two grand and great grand nieces and nephews. A Graveside Internment Service will be private at the request of the family Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fisher House Foundation for disabled veterans and their families, 12300 Twinbrook Parkway, Suite 410, Rockville, MD 20852.
