60 plus years of friendship; soccer, baseball, Red Sox game, hugs at Class Reunions. All relegated to fond memories. Hopefully we'll meet again old friend, and share someBrachs' Candy Corn. R.I.P. Aldo!
Aldo, is the best neighbor I ever had. He and Sharon always looked out for others, to help them to and from the airport, to watch our little dog Peanut for weeks at a time, to care for my former dear dear wife Helen. He took good care of Clara and helped make Clara's life enjoyable and relaxing. He adored his wonderful wife Sharon and did everything she needed of him, plus an extra 10%. We loved hearing the stories of when he was courting Sharon as a gorgeous airline stewardess and how he swept her off her feet. Aldo always had a smile and something good and positive to say. When I saw him out on his driveway he would stop what he was doing and say a few kind words that would make you laugh and make you feel welcome and wanted in his life. When I saw him at Mass, he was always there before anyone else and honored the Mass greatly, what a witness to me and others. His neighbors were all good friends as Sharon and Aldo's house was THE house to visit on Carena Circle. His neighbor Muff visited almost everyday and Aldo loved it. We loved Muff, both Aldo and me, like a brother. Aldo used to tell me, Muff is a real 'stand up guy', he was right. So are a lot of his friends at Pelican Preserve. He loved his family so dearly especially his grand children. What a great Grandfather they had. Lastly, I do know this, Aldo is alive and with the Lord now. He's hittin the ball straight, on the Lords fairways. And he is probably making all his putts, with no gimmie's. 'I think the Lord allowed me to be he and Sharon's neighbor for a time, a time I will never forget by living next door to the finest family I've ever known, and one of the most honorable, humble and kind persons I've ever met. I looked up to the sky tonight when I heard, saw a most beautiful Cresent moon and the first star out tonight. Aldo is that star, watching over his family, as he always loved doing.Marty Nystrom
Dear Sharon and the Presutti FamilyI am shocked and saddened to hear about Aldo's passing. To me he was always known as â??my cousinâ?. Aldoâ??s parents and my parents were from Pratola Peligna Italy and they visited each other often in West Hartford when we were kids to share fabulous meals and and their homemade wine.We were last together at our high school reunion in West Hartford CT last Oct. Everyone that knew him loved him. I am so blessed to have Aldo in my life. We kept in touch for many many years. He and Owen were ushers in my wedding 55 years ago!One of my fondest memories was when Aldo and you set up a fabulous weekend for all of us at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco where we all got to meet Anna Marie who treated us royally.Aldo was so one of a kind that Owen & I nicknamed him â??Pope Aldoâ?.because we always thought he was about as perfect as one human can be and we all will miss him dearly.Gabe & Sue Pace.
Mrs. Presutti, Anna, Teresa, AJ, and family,I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Presutti's passing. I have such fond memories of Mr. Presutti and your family. I will never forget your family dinners, cannelloni, and side-splitting games of charades. Mr. Presutti had way of making everyone smile, and I am grateful for the time we had growing-up with your family. You are in our prayers.Mark and Michele (McLean) Barker
I just heard about Aldo's passing. I am so sorry and my prayers are with you. I will never forget sharing car pool duties to St Theresa school with Aldo. He and I were the only ones who dared drive in the snow. I still laugh at the good time we had on vacation in Minnesota and playing Charades. Aldo had us laughing so hard when he drew the movie title "Silver Streak".Love, Cindy McLean
A friend from long ago – Plant Jr. Middle School through Hall High School – and recently an email buddy – My prayers for all the family and a message to Aldo – to save a special place for all of us class of '55 who will eventually join you. .
From Dan and Judy Lungo: Our sympathy goes to Sharon and her family. We started a dinner club which we truly enjoyed with Sharon and Al. Had wonderful memories, Al was always a good friend to my husband and me. We also played golf at Tamarack Golf Club for years with great memories of wonderful times and many laughs and memories we will never forget. He was my partner in golf and enjoyed every moment. Please know we will never forget those times. We will miss him so very much.
