We met Alex when he assisted my mother-in-law with her investments, and got to know him over the years as our advisor, friend and fellow Rotarian. It's hard to describe my feelings about him, except to say that knowing him was a privilege. We shared a sense of humor that was sometimes irreverent, and that was one thing I loved about him. As I was sharing the news of his passing with fellow Rotarians, there were two things that came up most often-"Did he ever finish that plane?" and his commitment to bringing his boys to help the Rotary Club close of the street on Friday night for the art festival. He called it a family tradition.
We are all better for having known him, and there are many of us who will miss him and share happy memories.
