Alfred Frank Willie's Obituary
Dr. Alfred Frank Willie Jr., 76, of Fort Myers passed peacefully August 15, 2023, in Franklin, North Carolina. Alfred was born October 6, 1946, to Alfred and Melrose (Denny) Willie in Baton Rouge, LA. Not only did Alfred devote his life to his own children and family, but also to the children of Lee County for 40 years, serving first as a teacher, then as a principal. Alfred loved fishing, camping, hunting, the Saints, his alma mater, Tulane, and had quite the sense of humor. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Melrose Willie. Alfred leaves his loving memory with his survivors, his partner of 29 years, Lynne Coris; his children, Trey Willie, his wife Jessica, and their children, Reese Willie, Riley Willie, Quaid Willie ; and his daughter Jennifer Birk, her husband Steve Birk and their children, Lexie Birk, Luke Birk, Lance Birk; and his sisters, Laura James, Sharon Blum and Edna Billings. Alfred's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Garden's with the care of honor in his memory. There will be a memorial service in Alfred’s honor on Sunday, November 19, 2023. There will be a gathering time at 2PM and the service beginning at 2:30PM.
