Alice S. Marks' Obituary
Alice S. Marks, age 94, of Fort Myers Florida and formerly of Sanford and Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 following a recent illness.She was born on January 30, 1920, in Fountain, North Carolina, the beautiful daughter of Maude (Harris) and Charles Marks. She was a Registered Nurse and spent her career in the United States Army, serving our country for over 26 years. She retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and saw extensive overseas duty from World War II through Vietnam.Alice was predeceased by her parents Maude (Harris) and Charles Spurgeon Marks and her siblings C.S. marks, Marian Freeman, Frances Lane, Teddy Marks and Jack Marks. She is survived by two sisters, Vivian Hardy of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and Jean Norville of Deland, Florida. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews located in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Texas.Funeral Services will be private.
