Allen Lynn Shrum's Obituary
Allen Lynn Shrum, 75, of Fort Myers, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was born September 10, 1946 in Moline, Illinois to the late Talmadge and Marie (Harrison) Shrum. He is survived by his children, Kelly Turner (Stan) of Fort Myers, FL and Scott Shrum (Lisa) of New Richmond, WI; his beloved grandchildren, Jack Turner, Jake Turner, Jonathan Shrum, Michael Shrum, and Emily Shrum; and his sisters, Pat Ericson (Merle), Linda Gomez, and Rose Diibon (Dennis). Tragically, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Allen Shrum, in 2015.
Allen loved living life and could often be found playing poker at the dog track, watching NASCAR races, or enjoying local antique car shows. He gave back to his community as a hospice volunteer for several years. He was a loyal friend to so many, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was deeply loved and will forever be in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be planned after the holidays. Online condolences can be given at www.fortmyersmemorialgardens.com/obituaries/Allen-Shrum. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 and Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
