Betty Ann Mayer's Obituary
The world lost a most precious and wonderful soul on the morning of December 26, 2021. Born October 15, 1946, Betty lived a life of loving, caring and giving, and thought of others even in her illness. Dedicated wife to Vahan Vahanian, beloved mother of Jeff Mayer and adoring grandmother of Jacob Mayer, who loved spending time with his grandma and enjoyed her tickles and her delicious banana bread. Other family whose company she delighted in include Carolyn Mayer, Richard, Yepram and Alex Vahanian, Audrey and Amanda McCalden, Amber June, and Mary, Leigh, and Robert Hlavaty.
Betty was a legal secretary by trade, but her life centered upon the ones she loved and cared for. She was an amazing cook and prepared the most delicious meals from scratch. She enjoyed gardening and could identify just about any plant. She loved to read and was active in her community book club. She liked to decorate and keep her homes neat and tidy. She doted upon her grandson and was so very proud of all that he had accomplished.
She will be missed greatly by all who were touched by her unending tenderness.
Friends are invited to gather and remember Betty at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907 on Friday, December 31, 2021 for visitation at 10am followed by a service at 11am.
