Billy Earl Miller's Obituary
Billy Earl Miller, 75, of Cape Coral, FL, died May 2, 2017 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, May 12, 2017 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be at fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice. Billy was born May 27, 1941 in Ohio City, OH, the son of, Earl William and Margaret Marie (Stutz) Miller. He was a 27 year, retired veteran of the US Navy and served as a sonar technicianat the rank of Command Senior Chief Petty Officer. After his military career he worked for H and R Block. He married Karen McLellan on January 5, 1980 in Lansing, MI. Billy was a member of the Diplomat Wesleyan Church in Cape Coral and a member of the Cape Coral Republican Club, serving as Club Treasurer for 10 plus years. Billy was an avid golfer and bowler, and had won several awards. Surviving are his children Billy Miller and his wife Becky, Chris Jackson and her husband Leo, Ricky Miller and his wife Tammy, Cheryl Smith and her husband Larry, Stephanie Coggle and her husband Andrew; siblings, Marcia Pancake and her husband Brian, Gary Miller and his wife Deborah; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings, Mike, Jim, Ron, Pat, and Marvin. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens has been entrusted with the care of Billy.
