Bruce Alan Ellis' Obituary
Bruce Alan Ellis, 61, of North Fort Myers, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018. He was born April 15, 1956 in Fort Myers and has been a lifelong resident. He was currently employed as a Party Chief land surveyor at Johnson Engineering for the past 40 years. As a teenager he was a member of Boy Scouts of America where he became an Eagle Scout and earned The God and Country Award, which he was very proud of. He was a member of the former First Baptist Church of Fort Myers, the Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Orioles and loved riding his Harley’s.Bruce is survived by his parents: Verdon “Cotton” A. and Helen Faye (Tinsley) Ellis; his sister: Karen Ellis Codding (husband Mike) of Fort Myers and his brother Keith Ellis of North Fort Myers. Stepson Seth Stewart. Nephews: Mike and Jason Codding. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555. Friends will be received from 6:00 PM until the time of the service.
