Bruce Joseph Loson's Obituary
Mr. Bruce Joseph Loson of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Cape Coral Hospital. He was 70. Bruce was born Friday, June 6, 1947 in Lowville, New York; the son of Nelson and Leona Loson. On March 25, 1966 in Syracuse, New York, he joined the US Army and proudly served until his discharge March 24, 1972. During his time in the Army, Bruce served at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. and he earned the National Defense Service Medal and the (M-14 Rifle) Marksman ribbon. He was the owner / operator of his own Lawn Service Company and an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Florida. He is preceded in death by his father, Nelson Loson. Bruce leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two daughters, Sarah Feather (Sam) and Angela Young (Matt). He is also survived by his mother, Leona Long and his two brothers, Donald Loson and Stanley Loson. Bruce was the loving grandfather of six grandchildren; Eli, Maggie, Sydney, Owen, Lila and Claire. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life / Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM, Friday, July 28, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church 1300 Ceitus Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33991. He will be laid to rest with US Army Honors in the Field of Honor in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Grace Baptist Church 1300 Ceitus Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
