12 years ago we went on a cruise and was placed at the dining table with Carl and Mary Ann. Little did we know then that we would become so close and regular travelers together and pretty much family. Richard and I had lost our parents and we pretty much adopted each other. Carl was know as "Pop" to us and Mary Ann as "Mom". Their whole family welcomed us inside their circle. Richard and Pop were often at the craps table having a grand old time, while Mary Ann and I watched the entertainment, traded books we had read and just enjoyed each other's company. As I write this tribute I want to thank both Pop and Mom for coming into our lives and making it richer and filled with joy and laughter. I know you aren't in any more pain now, that is what helps me to be less sad. Pop we love you with all our heart - save a seat at the poker table. We will see you on the other side.
