Carole was my BEST friend! I no longer live in Ft. Myers but we stayed in contact. We communicated by text or FaceTime several times a week. Carole was totally beautiful in my eyes! For the 8 years that I knew her, we shared our thoughts, many experiences, and equal love for life!
From day 1, Coco was there at her side loving her, protecting her in whatever way she could :-), enjoying walks with her, and resting beside her at the end of a long day (every day!).
As I got to know Carole, besides always seeing that beautiful smile, I saw and admired how much she enjoyed giving to others! She always had a project of giving going: leading and helping at the Continental Women’s Club and the Florida Philanthropic Educational Organization, loving her church group and writing weekly prayers for the services, being a great Master Gardener always ready to assist or lead activities and write articles for the Berne Davis Botanical Gardens and the local newspaper. And her local neighbors were her pride and joy! She never missed an opportunity to participate in any neighborhood activities - Ron and Jonathan’s parties were her favorite!
But her family was always her greatest joy! She loved sharing fun times with her grandkids and was always there for them. She even used her speech pathology expertise to help them in their young development. Graduation travel gifts to Kylie and Dylan were such a joy for her! Although she frequently shared daily activities with her family, she especially enjoyed Holidays together. I remember her saying Rick was always cooking up the BEST steaks! And her and Ali loved discussing cruises. I remember her talking about wonderful cruises with Greg. Carole especially enjoyed having Kylie living with her. They really grew together! And she loved having Amy visit with Tessa - always a doll! The closer to family she was, the happier and brighter her smile!
For me, memories with her were “joy in action”! I love taking pictures, and I have made a photo album of all those wonderful times with Carole! That album has brought loving smiles and memories that continue to help me through this very sad but love embracing time.
I wanted to share all these thoughts and happy times that Carole shared and gave to me because they are strong in my heart and reflect how blessed we all were to be a part of her beautiful life!
