I witnessed her having the pleasure of her randomly giving children $2 bills she always carried in her purse, she was so generous.

As a child, I knew of Catherine and consider her father, Taylor Shackleford, like my grandfather. The family lived next door to me in Miami. I was hoping to reach out to Catherine and tell her how much her father meant to me, but instead, I found this obituary. How sad I just missed speaking with her by just a few months.

Enjoyed playing bridge with her
I partnered with Catherine for 9 years at several bridge clubs. We enjoyed the game together. She was so kind and friendly and generous. After she no longer played bridge we had lunched at First Watch many times. She is fondly remembered.
