I have some very fond memories of Papa throughout the years. Two memories come to mind that I will cherish forever. First, I will always remember when he would visit us and go for his morning jogs. I was just a kid then, so I would do my best to keep up on my bike as we went through the neighborhood. It was nice to be invited along, and it showed me at a young age the importance of exercise. The second memory came about on my visit to Florida as a kid. Papa let me cast a line off his dock and I caught a huge catfish. Papa made such a big deal of it and always remembered to invite me back to catch another. I didn't get to see him as much as I wanted to and he will be very missed. – Scott Williams

We have many fond memories of uncle Cecil. From the many strolls up and down the street in front of his home to walking around his yard and listening to him talk about all his fruit trees. We also enjoyed participating in several Turkey Trot runs with him over the years and the many outings to eat especially to his favorite restaurant Perkins to get his tomatoe basil soup or potatoes pancakes. He was a true inspiration and wonderful man!! We will miss you greatly!! Your nieces Sarah, Felicia, Ann, & nephew Quentin.

What a great man! We loved watching as he walked down the street. He would always stop to salute our flag and then continue his walk. We will miss him.
