Cecil W. Stewart's Obituary
Cecil W. Stewart, 98, of North Fort Myers, died Friday morning, February 20, 2015 at Hospice House of Cape Coral. Funeral service will be 2 PM, Monday, February 23, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers 33907. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to be made to Hope Hospice at Cape Coral. Cecil was born April 22, 1916 in Hickory, NC, the son of, Poley M. and Ida (Benefield) Stewart. Cecil was a WW II veteran of the US ARMY. As a civilian, Cecil was employed as an auto mechanic. He married Vivian Dugan on March 1, 1975. He was a member of the McGregor Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Fort Myers Track Club and enjoyed running and exercise. He was also a member of the American Legion of Orlando. Surviving are his wife Vivian of North Fort Myers; daughter, Phyllis Edgerly and her husband David of Dripping Springs, TX; step-son, Keith Dugan of Stafford, VA; grandchildren, Scott Williams, David Fitzhenry; step grandchildren, Amanda Dugan, Karl Dugan and great-grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Williams and Allison Stevens.
