David Langston Farabee's Obituary
David Langston Farabee, 60, passed away March 8th, 2014. He was born September 6th, 1953 in Silver Spring, Maryland to Eleanor (Langston) and the late Lloyd Farabee. He was raised in Orlando and was a graduate of Boone High School and FTU (UCF). He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking and camping, especially in the Grand Canyon. David was a civil engineer, a Boy Scout Master and a member of Sarasota Baptist Church for over 20 years serving as deacon, youth leader, Sunday school teacher and choir member. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Corry L. Farabee; sons, Adam Farabee (Kelly); Joel Farabee (Maria); daughter, Dana Farabee (Patrick Morris); step-daughters, Danielle Pruner and Kelli Pruner; mother, Eleanor Farabee; sisters, Patricia Denham (Frank) and Janet Sordan (Michael); and several nieces and nephew. There will be a visitation Monday, March 10th, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sarasota Baptist Church, 7091 Proctor Road, Sarasota, Florida. Memorial service will be Tuesday, March 11th at 1:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Trail Association at www.floridatrail.org or to his son’s mission project in the Czech Republic.
