David Scott Fuciu's Obituary
David Scott Fuciu of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 18, 2016 following some recent health challenges. He was 60 years old.David was born on August 12, 1955 in Canton, Ohio, the proud son of Marian (Alonzo) and Nicholas G. Fuciu. He was a kind and gentle person who always kept his family as his first and foremost priority, although his love for the Cleveland Browns was never a distant second. David also appreciated the other professional sports teams from Cleveland and was truly a proud native son. He also greatly enjoyed life in Southwest Florida where he was able to better experience outdoor life and the simple pleasure of relaxing at the beach or just feeling the warmth of the sun. He was also a lover of animals, especially dogs, and was a longtime supporter of the great work performed by the humane society.David leaves to remember his loving soul his cherished wife JoAnne (Cackowski) Fuciu; his loyal sons Daniel and Michael Fuciu; his beloved daughter Megan Fuciu; his respected brother Nicholas Fuciu (Crystal); his loving in-laws Ron and Dianne Davis and Bob Cackowski; his Aunts, Uncles and many Nieces and Nephews; his devoted dogs Zeus, Coco and Hudson. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents; sister Denise and brother Terry.A Visitation for David will be conducted from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the following day, Saturday, June 25, 2016, 10:00 AM at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-3635.
