David Lee Tinder, 71, of Fort Myers, passed away August 9, 2012.?áHe was born November 23, 1940 in?áChicago, Illinois?áto the late Melvin and Velna (Gossett) Tinder.?á He came to Lee County in the late 70?ÇÖs from Iowa.?áDavid was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Davenport, Iowa and served our country in both the Navy and Marines.?áHe loved playing bridge and sailing.?áHe was the former VP of Joint Venture Operations for Hitachi Metals Corp. He later was the owner of a couple boat excursion tour companies. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Desiree Williams and her husband Jeff of Mohawk, Michigan and Ashley Schatz and her husband Adam of Waterloo, Ontario Canada; son, David Lee Tinder II of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Peyton and Conner.
