My condolences to all of cousin Dean's family. I have fond memories of his grin and his laugh. Going way back, I remember his studious dedication to learning. I remember using some of the study "tricks" he shared with me when he was in high school and I in middle school. I know his infectious dedication inspired me to be a better student. – Kevin Sippel

Oh, Dean, this was way before your time. I'll never forget that machine-gun laugh of yours, and all the ribbing we gave you about. Driving around Chamberlain in the old Chevy station wagon with Brad.RIP, brother, you'll be missed, buy not forgotten.
My sincere condolences on Dean's passing. He was my student at Chamberlain High School and he was one of my favorites. The memory that comes to mind is one day there was a paper due for my English class and the students were told that if it wasn't on my desk by the end of class that day, they would receive an F. Dean was frantic as he'd forgotten his paper at home. Because he was so consciences, I told him he could go home to get it if he had it back by the end of class. He froze….he said he couldn't make it home and back by the end of class. Well, that face got me and I told him he could take my car and go home to get it. He couldn't believe I was letting him take my car, but I knew he needed to get that paper or he would stew about it forever. After he left, I went to the window and watched him try to pull out of the parking space…I'd parked in between two other cars and it was tight. It was so funny and the other kids were jumping up to look out too. Anyway, he got the paper back in time and the car parked again and all was well. I really liked Dean, and he did have a child-like quality about him. I am trulysaddened by his death. I'm sure he was a brilliant Dr…….he was a joy to have in my class.Jill Marsh Swenson
