Donald J. Conty's Obituary
Donald J. Conty, 80, of Cape Coral, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He was born in Weehawken, New Jersey to Pauline (Conklin) and Genero Conty. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Hornet. After Don was discharged, he went to work for Uniroyal in Passaic, New Jersey. He was transferred to Port Clinton, Ohio and retired from Chemptura Chemical in Connecticut as Human Relations Manager. Mr. Conty is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille V. (Licata) Conty; his sons: Anthony (Tony) and his wife, Cathy and Daniel and his wife, Jill. Don is also survived by his beautiful grandchildren: Jennifer Christos of Colorado, Jessie Conty of Louisiana, Donald Conty of Texas, Nicholas Conty and Anthony Conty of Virginia. He also is survived by his great granddaughter, Annabelle and his sister, Jerrylyn Rizzardi of New Jersey. Don was a man of firm beliefs and integrity. He loved his family most of all. Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33904.
