I am Doris's niece, Pam. Doris was visiting my mom, Ernestine in Michigan and family. I invited mom and Doris over for supper one evening and aunt Dorise cane walking in with a big smile on her face and said, " what's for supper Pammy"? I said roast beef, baked potatoes and Au gratin cabbage. She ask, 'All rotton cabbage"???? Doris was a little hard of hearing then and I just cracked up laughing and said a more pronounced "ALL AU GRATIN CABBAGE". Doris and mom busted up laughing. I never forgot that. I have a lot of fond memories of aunt Doris. She was an amazing lady. She will be greatly missed! Love to all my family, you ate in my prayers.🥰

So many wonderful memories of times spent in Lehigh with Doris and her family when visiting Millie. They were such dear friends. She will be missed by all of our family, now living in Dallas.

Doris and I shared couches during hurricane Irma out in Lehigh. I made a meatloaf for everyone there and she never stopped saying how much she loved that meatloaf. She was a lovely woman, and I will never forget her.

I learned a lot about Grandma's life in her last few months. She worked in a handgranade factory, she loved square dancing, and she loved the time she spent caring for her father and taking trips with her cousin Kenny and Aunt Shirley. They laughed so much adn she smile devery time she recalled those times.
