Dorothy was my brother Roger's godmother, but she was always in my heart, too. Thankfully, we have many cherished, happy home movies of Dorothy- birthdays, Christmas, Fort Myers. She was always full of kindness and joy. Especially atChristmas she just sparkled! I was raised to believe she was my aunt . My parents were good friends of Dorothy and Larry. As the years passed we all spent many times together in Mendota and in Fort Myers.Dorothy was a very gracious lady and welcomed us into her homes.As the years passed my husband and our son Tony and his wife Gina and their twins Ella and Gia moved to Fort Myers Beach to live where we all wanted to be.We lived very close to Dorothy on the beach and got to spend lots of time together.She will be missed but is in a much better place.The Provinzino's.(Kate,Jim,Tony,Gina and Ella and Gia
Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Larry were my Godparents. I adored them. Memories of St. Paul, the Pool and Yacht Club, trips down the Mississippi River, our trip with them to Disneyland in the 50's, and vacationing at the old Rancho Del Mar on Fort Myers Beach fill my heart. As kids we waited for them at the window when they came to Milwaukee. We always loved being with them. I always felt special in their presence.Aunt Dorothy was elegant, impeccable in her dress and her home, and absolute fun to be with.
