Dorothy K. Prestigiacomo, 89, a Ft. Myers, FL resident since 1993, formerly of Long Island, New York passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 in Ft. Myers, FL . She was born June 6, 1928 in Glendale, NY to Theodore and Bertha Stuhlmuller, now deceased.Dorothy was the best mom, grandma, great grandma, mother-in-law a beloved aunt and friend to many.She is survived by her two loving children, Michele Berry (Scott) of Brightwaters, NY and Salvatore Prestigiacomo, Jr (Lisa) of Naples, FL; six grandchildren, Brett, Kristyn, Salvatore III, Jaovanna, Jessica and Megan; two great grandchildren, Kylah and Duncan; as well as her beloved dachshund, Stella.Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Salvatore Prestigiacomo in 2008 and son, Gary.A Funeral Service will be celebrated 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bidawee Pet Memorial Park, 3300 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh, NY 11793, the Habitat for Humanity, the ASPCA or the Wounded Warriers in loving memory of Dorothy K.
